It's not leather
I know, I know that we all love leather. I wanted to explore different materials for this clean, round corners design. The hot pink clutch is made out of felt, and the ochre one is vinyl. I'm looking to get some thicker felt for this project. Tassels are handmade by me also. ; Clutch dimensions are 10.5"w x 6.75"h. Tassels are 0.75"w x 4.5"h. Working on a prototype for both.

Bleached clutch
Same as this, but I used this bleached fabric. The clutches are pretty big and can fit anything for a night out. I'm still perfecting this prototype. There are 3 layers of fabric to make the clutch sturdier, and they are very comfortable to hold. The leather/fabric combo clutches will be a great addition to any outfit.

Clutch prototype
A new prototype of a zippered leather/fabric clutch. I silk printed the fabric a while ago with light blue and ochre colors. Size of unfolded clutch: 10.75" w x 12" h. Size of folded clutch: 10.75" w x 7.25" h. There is also a leather zipper pull. Love the size and proportions of leather and fabric.

Bleaching (B)
Remember this post about bleaching? Here is what I did with the fabrics I bleached. ; All the pouches are tryouts for working with two diff materials (bleached linen and vinyl), and the perfect size for a folded pouch. I'm also trying top stitches and diff fabric thicknesses. I'm using an extra one between the outer fabric and the lining to make the bag sturdier. ; I don't like the thickness of the vinyl, it's too thick, even though they come in endless colors and textures. ; I like the blue bag, the size is great (9"w x 7"h folded), and the bleaching is very subtle. ; I'm going to try out some more materials and share my experience.

WIP

New ideas I'm working on. Embroidered burlap with dark pink floss, and 2 tone crocheted clutches. The burlap will turn into a pouch with embroidery on both sides, and an interesting zipper pull. I'm waiting for the sew on magnets I ordered to finish the clutches. Two more color combos. Both will be in the store in July.
