97 ; 40

These are screen shots of 2 of my knitting patterns on Ravelry that you can get for free, Nae and Excess. I'm so proud to have so many knitters knitting my patterns and enjoying them. ; Every once in a while I'm talking about opening an on line store and selling my bracelets, pouches, bags, and so on. I don't feel ready at the moment, too much is going on right now. I hope to open it soon, and I'll keep sharing my design ideas with you.

Pizza

U got a new pizza oven for his birthday. We made our first (and second, and third) pizza last night. They came out just amazing. We used this recipe for the dough. For the topping we used a mix of italian tomato sauce and canned tomatoes, black olives, fresh mozzarella and salami. There is a great chef's store in Culver City called "Surfas", if you like to cook you should check it out.

London's parks

London has beautiful green, lush parks in the middle of the city. It was so much fun walking there even though it was raining.

Clafoutis

Taking advantage of the goodness of summer, and my meyer lemon tree that gives fruit year round, I made clafoutis. I used this recipe, I like that it's not very sweet, and the amount of flour is minimal. • I used raspberries and blueberries on top of the peaches. I love the sourness of the raspberries with the sweetness of everything else. • It's great with whip cream, ice cream or by itself. • Enjoy.

Pickles II

Today is the 3rd day since I made the cucumber pickles. After I put the jar back inside in the afternoon, I tried the pickles. Some are ready more than others, but there are very close to be done. • Tomorrow I'll leave them in, and when they are done I'll refrigerate them. • Don't use your fingers to take the pickled cucumbers out of the jar, use a fork. • Update: on the 4th day the cucumbers are ready, and went into the refrigerator. • Enjoy!

Pickled

Here is how I make my pickled cucumbers: get as many Persian cucumbers to fit tightly in a glass jar. 1 garlic bulb, peeled. 1 - 3 hot peppers cut lengthwise, depends how hot you want your pickles. 1 bunch of dill, and look warm, salted water to fill the jar. • Put the cucumbers in the jar very tightly together. Spread the garlic cloves and peppers in between the cucumbers. Mix lukewarm water with some salt (make sure all the salt is dissolved completely into the water), and fill the jar all the way to the top. Rinse the dill and put it on top of everything and shut the jar close. • Put the jar in a wider plastic container to catch all extra liquids. • Put the jar in a sunny spot outdoors until the late afternoon, then take it inside. • Turn the jar upside down, gently, a few times to mix the salted water in the morning and evening. • After a few days you'll have pickled cucumbers. • If you want to add some salt to your water, you can empty the salted water from the jar to a container, add salt, mix well, and fill the jar with the new salted water mix. If it's too salty, empty the salted water from the jar into a container and add some fresh water, fill the jar with the new less salted water. • I'll keep you posted on how long it takes for the cucumbers to be ready.

Tel Aviv

Tel Aviv is colorful, bold and loud, hot and humid. Everyday is a celebration. The pictures are from Tel Aviv, the old port in Jaffa, and a restaurant named Tel-Aviv Yaffo.
