A Ravelry Celebration

Ravelry is celebrating it's 5 years anniversary. They are holding a contest to create a design for their project bag. The design theme is "A Ravelry Celebration". You can read more here. ; I got inspired by all the new and amazing people from all over the world I got to know through Ravelry, and share the simple passion for knitting, crocheting, and creating beautiful things. My idea was using knitting and crocheting symbols that are connected together, to create a beautiful design. The Ravelry community is so talented, supporting, and colorful, that it's hard to convey everything in one design. ; The bag is going to be silk printed in three colors. I posted the same design with different colors, not sure which one is my favorite.

Bread

The bread is home made, no knead bread. You need to tailor it to your own taste and oven. The fresh burrata is from a store called Surface in Culver City, with fresh tomatoes from the farmer's market, and some chives, cilantro and parsley from our herb garden.

Doily+

I joined the Doily Wildfiber crochet swap. I wanted to make something a little more than a doily, and ended up crocheting a small container. I took the pattern from a Japanese craft book called White, ivory an beige goods. I used a home made yarn stiffener to make the bowl more sturdy. Approx. size of the container is 6.5" diameter x 3.5" height. Yarn is KPM in apple green.
