Ensō colors

These are the colors I chose for my new crocheted blanket Enso. The inner circles are in Noro Taiyo, all very colorful, and the outer square is in a very come blue called Azul. The top photo shows the actual colors of the yarn. The bottom photo shows a few of the colors that appear in the yarn I chose.

Between the lines

I went to my LYS today and found my BTL shawl hanging next to the original yarn it was knit with. Not sure what color it is, but the original yarn is Araucania Ruca Solid made from 100% sugar cane. Thank you Hanna for knitting a store sample, it looks great.

Ensō WIP

Ensō is a Japanese word meaning circle and a concept strongly associated with Zen. It symbolizes absolute enlightenment, strength, elegance, the universe, and the void. In Zen Buddhist painting, ensō symbolizes a moment when the mind is free to simply let the body/spirit create. • Ensō is my new crocheted blanket, circles in squares. Yarn: inner circle is Noro Taiyo (7g), the outer square is Blue Sky Alpacas Worsted Cotton in Azul (10g) • Hook: 5 mm.

The idea is to choose a group of colors for a four different pattern repeats drawn and painted by hand. Good old school.
