Aravrit ערברית
I thought it was very appropriate at this time and I wanted to share the beauty. Israeli designer liron lavi turkenich has crafted 638
characters for the ‘aravrit‘ typeface, a project she describes as
‘utopian in nature‘, particularly since it unites two languages, cultural
identities and geographical locations. • Thank you Josh for finding this treasure.

My voice
I'm trying to find my own voice in this medium, water colors are new to me. Sure I painted with water colors before, but I never got to where I wanted to be, just wasn't crazy about the result, until now. I love the transparent quality of the colors when they mix with each other. After watching a few videos on Youtube I tried to paint myself. My graphic esthetics took over and I added pens and colored pencils. I wonder where it will take me and how I'll make it my own. Other than getting the proper paper and brushes, I'm planning to take a class at Otis, my favorite art school in the area. This is my first attempt to find myself in water colors (It's probably not a good idea to post my first attempts after the amazing art of Kiana Mosley, I guess we all have to start somewhere).

Wrapping paper
I got inspired from my last post while driving over a speed bump and looking at the triangles on top of it. The colors are from my post about nature's inspiration. I merged all three and came up with a series of four very colorful wrapping paper. Enjoy.

Landscape of gravity
Landscape of Gravity is a pattern printing technique that
visualizes the movement of water. By effecting the movement of water with
gravity this technique creates unique 3 dimensional organic prints to a surface
of manmade objects. This way emphasizing unseen natural phenomenons in our
surroundings and meeting points between man made shapes and natural

Cinnamon bun cake
or Rose Cake in Hebrew. I LOVE cinnamon buns and always trying a new recipe hoping to find the perfect one. This one was from an old magazine and had a few mistakes in it. The amount of the milk was way too small, also the thickness of the dough when rolling it to create the buns was too thick. I (hope) fixed all the errors and it came out great. I need to bake it one more time before I post the recipe. Yummy.

Simple process
I wanted to share a simple process that works for me: 1. The Mexican sun flower (third photo) is the inspiration for my drawing. • 2. The next step is creating a line drawing by hand (second photo). • 3. The illustration (first photo) was done by scanning the line drawing to Adobe Photoshop and manipulating it in Adobe Illustrator, playing with shapes, colors and come up with the final composition. Happy Friday.
