Ensō is a Japanese word meaning “circle”
and a concept strongly associated with Zen. It symbolizes absolute
enlightenment, strength, elegance, the universe, and the void. In Zen Buddhist
painting, ensō symbolizes a moment when the mind is free to simply let the
body/spirit create. • Ensō is my new crocheted blanket, circles in squares. Yarn: inner circle is Noro Taiyo (7g), the outer square is Blue Sky Alpacas Worsted Cotton in Azul (10g) • Hook: 5 mm.
Isn't that moment a nice place to be? I need to get there more.
ReplyDeleteCrochet is an easy and simple thing for me, much more than knitting, it's much faster too. i guess this is the reason I can see myself crocheting a blanket with all these colors rather than knitting it. yes, I knitted a baby blanket but not a big one, and yes I crocheted a baby blanket before, but for a gift. I wanted a granny blanket for years, but never got to it. It's time...
