Here is what Sergio Albiac writes about his work: "I create visual imagery to articulate my thoughts about the beauty, contradictions and emotion of the act of living. My work revolves around the interior worlds we create in our minds and the tensions that arise when confronted to our realities. The illusion of control in a world much governed by randomness and the elusive nature of emotions are also recurring ideas in my work…" You can find more here.

Sweet apple latkas recipe in English
Just realized that it's a better idea to post the English translation of the Sweet apple latkas recipe (if you don't read Hebrew it will be impossible for you to find it). I hope you'll enjoy it, Happy Hanukkah.

Repeats (4)
A few small tweaks to old designs and a new one in this repeat series. They just feel better as a group, even though I'm not sure about the lace one (bottom right).

Down memory lane / Conversational (2)
Remember this post about my conversional design? I made it very personal with pictures of my mom and me as a baby, my mom, my daughter and my wedding. All are drawn by hand and manipulated in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. My next step is to print it in black and white and add a gilded look with a gold pen.

Acadia Chicago
Three course meal at Acadia in Chicago. Amazing flavors and presentation, we loved everything about it.
Chicago
We went on a tour at Wisconsin University last Sunday. U and I flew to Chicago, spent the night there and drove to WU to meet with our daughter who stayed with her friend at the University. We had a wonderful half day in Chicago. The weather was nice, a little rainy but not too bad, we had thin crest pizza for lunch, we walked around and had a great time at a tea house called Argo Tea. Dinner was an amazing experience, I'll post some pictures next time.

Triunfo Creek logo
Triunfo Creek Associates site went live today, I worked on their logo design only a few months ago. Their choice (the top gray and blue logo) was conservative, but still looked good. I included a few other choices we came up with.
What Katie ate
Beautiful cooking book by Katie Quinn Davies. I follow her wonderful blog for a while now, it's truly stunning. Her book is on my wish list.

Boba and bubble tea
If you're interested in making boba and bubble tea yourself here is a recipe to try.
Home decor
The assignment is to design three coordinating original patterns for the home furnishing market, still working on the third one. My inspiration came from nature, the honeycomb look of morels. Morels is a genus of edible mushroom closely related to anatomically simpler cup fungi. These distinctive mushrooms appear honeycomb-like in that the upper portion is composed of a network of ridges with pits between them. –Wikipedia Hand drawn, manipulated in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
